The Runner's Corner started as a dream of Craig's in high school. As a track and cross country runner I know the importance of having the correct shoe. As a young adult I competed in an elite level in Duathalons, competing in several states and in Europe. In 2000, I won the bronze medal for the World Championship for Duathalon.

- In 1997 the Runner's Corner was started by Craig Lowry and Phil Dickenson in a small shop in downtown Harrisonburg. In 2001 Craig took full ownership of the store and it has grown to what it is today. The store has been located on West Water Street since 2006 when Craig and Carol Lowry purchased an old retail building and brought it back to life.
